I have a lifelong fascination with how things work and aesthetics - as Robert M. Pirsig puts it, both the classical and romantic spheres.
I did not set out to demonstrate this with these models, but as my skills developed and flowed over a couple of years I grew close to the goal of bringing these spheres together.
A flaw in these models is a lack of modularity, a quality that has a classical and romantic beauty all of its own. Many years after their construction, when I contemplate the workings of these models their complexity baffles me. This is at least in part due to poor modularity.
It also makes maintenance more difficult.
Fortunately I documented them during and immediately after building, and summarised these details here. The website functions well in this regard. But does it look good? You be the judge!
If you've found this website fun, enlightening, educational or useful, why not consider supporting it? This will help with hosting costs and encourage me to update it with new stuff. There are two ways to do this;
